Hollon LC-30J 1 Hour Fireproof Home Safe Review

The Hollon LC-30J is an excellent 1 hour fireproof home safe from Hollon, who are known for their high quality safes.  The LC-30J features composite constuction, with a steel cabinet and a steel inner layer.  In between these two layers is sandwiched a layer of concrete fireproof material which gives the safe its 1 hour fireproof rating.  The fireproof rating is a UL rating, which means that the safe has been tested to withstand an 1850 degree F fire for a period of 1 hour without the temperature on the interior of the safe rising above 350 degrees F.  This will ensure that your papers and other small valuable will be safe from permanent damage in the event of a fire.

Other featues include seamless constuction of the body AND door, which eliminates the weak points found in safes that use seams.  The LC-30J also features a quality combination dial lock, with 1 active locking bolt.   The safe has 1 bolt hole in the bottom of the safe for anchoring it, and includes the mounting bolt and hardware.  Outside dimensions of The LC-30J are 11-7/8″ H x 16-1/2″ W x 14-1/8″ D.  Interior dimesions are 7-1/8″ H x 11-3/4″ W x 8-3/4″ D.  The LC30J has an interior capacity of 776 cubic inches and weighs 69 pounds.  All in all an excellent fireproof home safe at a reasonable price.
