In the appliance world, the KitchenAid 5 Speed blender is known for having a lot of power and capabilities.

You may be inclined to wonder how different blenders can be from one another, but you might be surprised. KitchenAid make their kitchen items to do what you need them to do and take a lot of abuse, and their blender stands up to this tradition.

One thing that people mention about the Kitchen Aid 5 Speed blender is that it can make just about any blended recipe they need. It can easily make dips such as salsa, blend icy drinks, or be used for making soups. It has all the power that any of these require. It also has a pulse option that you can use on any speed if you want to put a little more power into the process.

Using the blender is very easy due to the clearly labeled buttons. There are enough buttons to let you get the job done, but not so many that using it gets confusing.

The motor on this Kitchenaid ultra power blender has 0.9 horsepower, which means it can take on just about anything you put in it. Many users have reported it easily churning up ice, peanut butter, and other hard or sticky substances. Some people reported cheaper blenders breaking when the same ingredients were put into them.

One reason this blender can handle many different foods is that the motor adjusts to whatever it is straining against. This makes it last longer than other blenders that treat all ingredients the same.

Something else people like is that the blender is made of metal parts. This helps it to last a lot longer than those made with a lot of plastic.

There is also special cord storage on the bottom of the blender base. This makes storage easier since you don’t have to deal with wrapping the cord around the base or putting a tie on it.

If you need to blend a large amount of food or liquid at a time, the large jar on the KitchenAid 5 Speed blender will be a great advantage. It holds 56 ounces of ingredients, and it’s made of a durable polycarbonate material. On top of this, it has a soft grip handle to make lifting and holding it easier.

This blender comes in a wide variety of colors, making it easy to find the right one to match any kitchen. Red and black are the most popular and below are just a few of the colors available.

A common complaint that is made about the Kitchen Aid 5 Speed blender is that it is heavy. At nearly 12 pounds, it does land on the heavier end of the spectrum. While its heavy-duty construction is a perk for many people, the weight is a problem for others.

One of the most common mechanical complaints people have is the base of the jar leaking a bit. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon for blenders in general. Since many of these complaints were made, the company has redesigned the jar, so this problem may have been remedied.

Something else people mention is the higher than average price tag that comes on this item. While the price does reflect the quality of the blender, it can make some people by-pass this blender in favor of cheaper, less reliable models.
