The Breville Die Cast Blenders solid construction, powerful motor, and multiple speeds allow you to have the ultimate blending experience when you use this machine.

This blender is also made by one of the best companies out there. Though Breville is not a household name in the United States, their products are well-known in Australia. Their quality is not to be surpassed anywhere, as is being proven by the popularity of their products across the globe.

Breville Die Cast
Hemisphere Blender – 800BLXL The Breville 800BLXL Die-Cast is the 1000 watt Hemisphere blender that can handle even tough tasks like chopping ice. It’s easy controls allow you the best of access to the 2 speeds and pulse action that gives you control over your blending needs. The blender also features a stainless steel and polymer motor, which means that it can be both powerful and quiet.

In addition, the Breville Die Cast blender features extra wide blades unlike its competition the Waring BB185 NuBlend, that are set into a small bowl at the bottom of the blender, so your food isn’t trapped but is instead blended to your precise standards. It’s 67-ounce polycarbonate blending jar comes with measurement markings and a lid that will not leak, in addition to being entirely dishwasher safe.

Advantages
The Breville Die Cast blender has a powerful motor, so you will be able to complete even difficult blending tasks, like chopping ice, without the problems that other blenders might give you. This makes it the ultimate in kitchen blenders, because you won’t have to keep other tools on hand to do these other tasks.

While the commercial Waring MX1000 XT Smoothie Maker and their 48oz Margarita Madness are similar in many ways, the Breville 800BLXL Die-Cast Hemisphere blender also has blades and a bowl that are key to your blending success. Breville’s special design means that the blender will do its job better than some of these other models with similar power and structure.

Disadvantages
The fact that the Breville Die Cast Blender does not have more than two speeds is disappointing. While too many speeds on a blender can be overkill, two seems like not enough options when you’re talking about a machine with 1000 watts of power. It would be nice to have more control over that power.

The blender’s polycarbonate blending jar is also frustrating. Many blenders in a lower class than this one have a glass jar, and it would be nice to see the rest of these features with that, as well. It looks better and some say that it functions better.

Finally, some users report problems with the blender’s motor, even though it has 1000 watts of power. It can overheat, producing a burning smell and even burn out after only a few uses. Though this problem seems to be scattered among users, it has been reported enough to be of concern.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a powerful kitchen blender and have some extra money to spend, the Breville 800BLXL Die-Cast Hemisphere blender would be a great addition to your kitchen. Its power allows you to complete all the tasks you would want to with a blender and its construction means you can complete them again and again for years.

Clash of the Titans: The Videogame Review

May 30, 2010 | Kitchen Products | 1 Comment

Surprise, surprise, Clash of the Titans is an awful movie-turned-videogame. While some games like this year's surprising Toy Story 3 buck this trend, this generic and uninspired game proves that crappy license titles are, sadly, a fact of life. Apparently this is the will of the gods. This boss fig...
