This full size bagless vacuum has it all. The DC25 includes all of Dyson’s best features, from the Root Cyclone technology that drives the powerful suction motor to the large rubberized ball that is exclusive only to Dyson. It doesn’t require belts or bags, and it is equipped with a washable HEPA filter that lasts the life of the vacuum cleaner. The DC25 rolls easily on all surfaces, and the high-speed brush roll can be switched off for effortless transition from carpeted surfaces to floors. The extra-long onboard attachments and telescopic hose are always handy for reaching into those hard to reach spaces.

Dyson DC25 Ball
Some of the shared features of the DC25 Animal and All Floors models include:
Powerful motor featuring Root Cyclone technology
Exclusive Dyson ball design
High speed controllable brush roll
Washable HEPA filter
Onboard attachments and telescopic hose
1/3 gallon transparent dust container empties with touch of a button

The cyclonic action of the Dyson DC25 vacuum separates dirt from air using centrifugal force instead of filters, trapping dirt and fine dust particles in an easily emptied collection bin. The bin is transparent, so you can clearly see when it is time to empty it.

The HEPA filter prevents fine dust and allergens from escaping through the machine’s exhaust and being blown back into the air to be inhaled. The exhaust of a Dyson vacuum cleaner has been shown to contain considerably lower levels of mold and bacteria than other vacuum cleaners, earning Dyson asthma friendly certification from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

Dyson’s claim that its vacuum cleaners are the only ones not to lose suction even when full is true in this case. The Dyson DC25 vacuum delivers powerful and consistent suction that does not diminish as the collection bin becomes full. The high-speed rotating brush roll deeply cleans carpets and furniture, even homes with pets.

The Dyson DC25 is the latest version of the unique Dyson ball vacuum cleaner. The large rubber ball serves more than one purpose, functioning as a wheel that gives the vacuum mobility unlike a conventional 4-wheeled upright vacuum.

The ball also houses the motor, supporting its weight so that it does not have to be carried by the user’s hand. This gives the impression that this vacuum cleaner is much lighter than it looks; so light, in fact, that it can be easily steered with one hand.
Advantages
Powerful suction that does not decrease as the vacuum becomes full
Efficient removal of pet hair from carpets and furniture
Low weight distribution for easy handling; feels lighter than it looks
Steers around corners easily, even with one hand
On/off brush roll makes transition between carpets and floors easy
Disadvantages
No handle adjustment for tall people
Some concern about the durability of plastic parts such as hose and dust collection container

We have long spoken of our love for simple and easy to read dive watches. In fact, many dive watches have built a cult following by offering a no-nonsense approach to accuracy and legibility. Perhaps most famously, watches like the Panerai Luminor, Rolex Sea-Dweller, and even brands like Marathon ha...

If you like Nextel's features, but can't afford the services plans, you'd be wise to consider Boost Mobile. Sort of a Sprint Nextel younger brother, Boost offers similar phones and services at a cheaper price. And now with the new Motorola Clutch i465, Boost also gets its first QWERTY handset. As an...

Gather 'round the round gas grill

May 30, 2010 | Household Products | No Comments

Grilling is a communal affair. Not in the sense that there are altruistic reasons for such behavior, but it is a matter of simply wanting to keep an eye on what's yours. After scoping out the perfect steak, burger, chicken thigh, or what-have-you, the worst thing that could happen is when one of you...
