This computer could very well represent the peak of modern gaming technologies.

The EGO X brought to us by Envigo was built with a proverb in mind, “Anger without power is folly.” There are equal parts anger and power housed within the absolutely stunning case that is called the EGO X. Envigo is a pretty new computer company.  While that may make you nervous in this economy, you could go and get another computer somewhere else, but… we can’t guarantee yours will be quite as pretty. The EGO X may be this computer’s official name but out on the streets we refer to it as Ali, because it “floats like a butterfly, and stings like a bee.”

The options available for the EGO X are all impressive, but the truly tricked out specifications will be discussed in this review. Because, is that not what you came for? This PC features the totalitarian Intel Core i7 Extreme, 12 GB DDR3 1066 MHZ, ATi Radeon HD4800 Series, and 3TB of disk space with RAID-1 available. Now do a side by side comparison with that Power Computing model your surfing on and tell me if you don’t need a dose of Prozac to get you feeling OK, again. It’s fine, I’ll wait.

The hardware is surely the cake, but the icing is thick, delicious and buttery. For those I lost with the cake analogy, let me explain. This computer’s case is beautiful. A glossy black finish covers the metal, while the side panel has been almost completely cut out to display a truly awe-inspiring array of hardware. Factory overclocked, perfectly organized, and backlit with a deep blue. What could be better?

If you’ve been saving up for a new performance machine, the time has finally come. Envigo has brought you the best bang for your buck with the EGO X. In fact, what are you still doing on Reviewboard? Go on! Get moving!
