Grilling on the porch or patio

A toast to grilling on the go

by The Review CrewJuly 12, 2010

Without question, enjoying a nice, hot summer day is made more enjoyable with food. Specifically, grilled food. But even that is only half the story. Needing something to wash down all the delectables, grillers look to parch their thirst with an ice-cold beverage. Be it soda or juice, beer or wine, the colder the beverage, the better. Which, of course, raises the question of how to chill the drinks. If grilling anywhere removed from the kitchen (and the refrigerator), a little convenience in portability goes a long way. Literally.

Combining not only the grill in a portable package, but also including two coolers for good measure, the Char-Broil Grill2Go Ice offers portability along with convenience. The grill is mounted on a wheeled cart, and includes two 30-quart removable, soft-sided coolers complete with hard liners. Use one cooler for the food and one for the drinks, and the system offers the complete package, allowing users to easily set up wherever the action is.

With 290 square inches of cooking space, the grill supplies ample area for grilling, and the whole unit compacts to 22 inches tall for transport. With a 10,500-BTU burner, the grill cooks via infrared heat, offering a wide temperature range with no flare-ups. The portable grill gives users a complete solution for grilling on the go, as it’s able to run for up to 3 hours per 1-pound LP cylinder.
