Don't dilute your whiskey

I spent four months in Ireland a few years ago. I got some work done, but my main accomplishment was a thorough review of all the Irish whiskeys. I learned a few tricks for cooling down my drinks without resorting to ice cubes and certain dilution, but there was never a perfect solution. The On the Rocks Whiskey Stones seem to offer one, however. These nine stones can set in your freezer, getting cold enough that when you add them to a glass of whiskey, your drink will be chilled, without worrying about watering down good alcohol.

The On the Rocks Whiskey Stones are each handcrafted from soapstone. The stones measure between 3/4 and 7/8 inches and do not work as well in drinks with a larger volume. It’s best to wash the stones between use, but they won’t add flavors to your drinks. It’s worthwhile to consider the glasses you’re using the stones with, simply because they are a little harder than ice cubes: dropping them into a glass unguided may be a bad idea. The set of On the Rocks Whiskey Stones include enough rocks to chill several glasses, in case you’re entertaining guests. It will cost you $19.99 to literally serve your drinks on the rocks.

Nokia Shade 2705 Cell Phone Review

August 2, 2010 | Featured Articles, Kitchen Products | No Comments

Overview What's Good: Small size, good reception.   What's Bad: Battery cover is flimsy, and the Shade doesn't offer 3G connectivity. Introduction Despite the seemingly endless talk about smartphones, there's still a market for regular, reliable, entry-level cell phones. Quite frankly, I doubt tha...
