Pioneer Unveils MK2 Elite G-Clef SACD Players and Amps

Pioneer’s SX-A6MK2 amp, also at $700, offers 60 watts of output power and includes twin EL transformers and Twin Mono Symmetrical construction that keeps electricity isolated. The PD-D9MK2 player kicks things up with an isolated power supply, a stainless steel CD mechanism and an aluminum exterior.  It also includes Wolfson DACs instead of the D6MK2′s Burr-Browns.  It’s also a bit pricier, at $1,500.

Also at $1,500 is the SX-A9MK2 amplifier.  It’s got a 70 watt output and twin toroidal transformers.  It also includes headphone and preamp outs, an aluminum build and a honeycomb chassis.   Pioneer’s Elite G-Clef amps and SACD players will be available this month.
