Fondue for two

by The Review CrewAugust 2, 2010

A trip to a fondue restaurant typically marks a special occasion for my family. Though it’s not hard to come up with a pot of melted cheese at home, preparing the broth or oil necessary for a three-course fondue meal is a different matter. The Cuisinart Electric Fondue Maker makes that process more manageable, however; just by eliminating the need to have an open heating source next to a pot of oil, I’m much more comfortable making European-style fondue at home. The set is entirely electric, and though that means that it needs to be plugged in, it’s very easy to work with. The removable temperature control is adjustable, so you can make a wide variety of fondue recipes.

The Cuisinart Electric Fondue Maker includes a brushed stainless-steel 3-quart bowl with a nonstick coating for heating your fondue. It is safe to wash, even in the dishwasher. The set also comes with the base, a temperature probe, eight fondue forks, and a fork rack. You can easily have a cozy dinner for two with this fondue set, or feed four people just as easily.
