Quad Announces the Elite Series of Audio Components

by The Review CrewAugust 26, 2010

You may be familiar with the Quad 99 series, which was introduced over ten years ago.  The new Quad Elite line is designed to succeed it, component for component.  This includes a CD player, FM tuner, preamplifier, mono power amp and stereo power amp.

From the outside you won’t notice too much of a difference.  The Elite line shares many of the same aesthetic qualities of the 99 series, with only a few small tweaks to the appearance.  Over the last three years though, the interiors have been getting reworked.

“The Elite Series represents the best solid-state component range Quad has ever produced,” says Peter Comeau, who works as the Director of Acoustic Design for Quad’s parent company IAG.  “I am struck by how clean, clear and effortless is the musical delivery of this combination.”  You’ll be able to pick up the Quad Elite series starting this September.
