Golden Bear x Unionmade Melton Wool Varsity Jackets Review

by The Review CrewSeptember 24, 2010

During the 1950′s, varsity jackets became the rage among high school and college students. Just as in the 1960′s with the culture radically changing and styles with it, Golden Bear provided the dockworker jackets worn by many a famous beat poets and rock stars such as Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, The Doobie Brothers and the Grateful Dead. Unionmade teamed up with the local sportswear company on a new set of melton wool varsity jackets. Made in San Francisco’s Potrero district, the jackets feature leather pocket details, wrist guards, cotton ribbing and a slim fit with timeless styling. Available now through Unionmade.
