Sharper Image Super Grill Review

by The Review CrewOctober 17, 2010

Kitchen appliances have grown to be incredibly versatile machines capable of easily making anything from soup to roasted nuts. Having the right tool for the job ensures that whatever you have a craving for, a kitchen appliance can handle it. Unfortunately, sometimes we just need to settle. Want waffles, but don’t have a waffle maker? Pancakes might just have to do instead. Unless, of course, you have one appliance that can do both (and a whole bunch of other stuff, too).

The Sharper Image Super Grill ($99.99) is a multipurpose countertop kitchen appliance designed to be used from morning to night. Opening a full 360 degrees to reveal interchangeable plates, the unit can be used as a griddle, a grill, or a waffle maker. Nonstick coating ensures that whether you are making breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the machine will help to make cleanup as easy as meal-making.

Three easy-to-use dials comprise the no-nonsense controls, supplying six temperature settings from 200 to 450 degrees. The grill closes shut, an important feature not only for specialty items like pressed paninis, but also for easy storage. However, as convenient and versatile as the countertop appliance is, finding reason to store it away might just be its most difficult aspect to consider–even without all the massaging, ionic, and motorized capabilities the brand is so well known for.
