How to uninstall Phone Locator Pro from your Android Phone without the password

    Download article to your eReader:

    Download ePub
    Download mobi

If you find a file in your /data/app directory called (names vary) PLP or plp or phone.locator.pro you have a tracking program installed on your phone.  In order to get rid of this program you first need to make sure you have root access.  The second thing you need to do is download a program called root explorer and go into the /data/app and delete the program.  Then go into /data/data directory and find the corresponding directory with the data in it and delete it. The file has plp in it.

Last you go into your phone settings, under manage applications and uninstall the application.  That’s all you need to do.  If you were like me and lost your password, then you can choose to re-install the app and set it up with your own information/passwords to track your phone as well (after that).
