In a continuing effort to add to our ShopSmith review set. We have acquired an add-on for it. As you know the ShopSmith is the multi-use wood working power house.  One of the items heavily used is the miter gauge. I very seldom get excited with a tool right out of the box. But this is one  came ready to work right way, the Osborne EB3-SS miter gauge for the ShopSmith. Install was simple, one open-end  and an allen wrench,  the adjustments you can make are plenty to get the accuracy you want.

The Osborne EB3-SS is the triangulation arm, this makes this miter guide so rigid or stable. This is where the accuracy comes from.

With the miter gauge trying to cut large or long items and keeping them from moving while cutting can be a chore to say the least. Not so when using the Osborne EB-3 miter for the Shopsmith. This add-on is amazing in my eyes. The cuts are perfect and dead on. I was amazed at how accurate I cut make each cut. The ease when handling small and large items is so effortless.

The EB-3 is under $150 dollars, while some may think that is expensive the accuracy of the miter, saves time and money in missed cuts.
