Danhov Abbraccio Luxury Bridal Ring Review

by The Review CrewMarch 21, 2012

Danhov Luxury Bridal Ring ReviewDanhov has a knack for making some really impressive looking luxury bridal rings.  You may have seen our plug for them in our Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him/Her guide that we left in your mailbox.  We have a policy that prevents us from writing about anything we haven’t put our hands on.  We need the opportunity to examine and test everything.  So when I say we put Danhov’s product to the test I can say that we tested their diamonds with diamond testers, moissanite testers, etc…

The setting they sent us was called the Abbraccio Swirl Engagement Ring and the price without the center stone comes in at about $3,500.  They sent a piece with a 1.03 Carat center stone valued at about $2,200 so the total price came in at about $5,700.  We had a GIA certified expert evaluate the diamond and what we came up with is an extraordinary VS quality 1.03 carat diamond sitting in a 14k white gold setting with about 60 or so 3/4 point chips along the sides of the ring.

Quality is certainly something to take into account when you are ordering from an online source.  After all you never know what you are actually going to get when you order something online.  We can tell you that Danhov sends out quality merchandise.  However, the real appeal here isn’t a diamond that is a little over a carat (even though that is certainly one of the line items).  The real appeal is the unique design and the stunning effect it has when you place it on your finger.  The elegant wrap around design is something that really draws a lot of attention, and while the stone itself is on the small side the quality of it is really outstanding.

All in all the Danhov Abbraccio Swirl Engagement Ring is a very elegant, modern looking piece.   The stunning design is what makes it special, and we feel it would be difficult to find a better looking engagement ring for under $6,000 USD.  We are nominating this piece for the 2012 Reviewboard Magazine’s Modern Elegance Award.  Check back in September to see if they won.
