Element Case Vapor Pro Elite Review – For iPhone 4/4s

The Element Case Vapor Pro was designed specifically for people that are interested in protecting their iPhone AND having something solid like REAL METAL (in this case Aluminum)

The cost of this case is pretty substantial coming in between $169.99 and $179.99 retail.  I have not been able to find a ‘deal’ on the Internet for the Elite models which speaks to how well it holds its price point.

The quality of the product is top notch.  The  aluminum case fits on securely and semi-permanently by utilizing a 2 piece frame design that has four screws.  The screws are small and the Element Case Vapor Pro Elite comes with a special screw small screwdriver on a keychain so you make adjustments whenever you need.  In addition they were smart with the design of the screwdriver, it has 2 spare screws in the handle, a rubber gasket and the blade of the screwdriver is hidden in the handle; it screws into the handle so it appears to be a small wand.  This makes it safe for putting it in your pocket or purse without worry.

I have dropped my Verizon Wireless iPhone 4s twice since putting the Element Case Vapor Pro Elite on it.  The good news is my iPhone 4s is still working perfectly without damage AND there is no damage to my Element Case Vapor Pro Elite either which is nice.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dropped my phone using a case that was not made of metal and there is some kind of road rash on the case… it’s just as bad as having a crappy looking phone in my opinion.  I have not dropped the case on cement, but I have dropped it in the office and at my home and can say without hesitation that wood floor and tile will not create road rash on the aluminum housing of the Element Case Vapor Pro Elite.

The only thing I would have liked to see from Element Case is a harder leather backing.  The soft leather backing feels great, and they give you a zipper case to put your phone into so that you don’t mark it up… but in the real world I find that I don’t use it as much as I should and I still have a habit of putting the phone in my pocket (which may have keys in it).  The keys left dents in my soft leather backing, if it were hard that would not have been such an issue.  The soft leather tends to pick up a lot of debris that sticks to it as well.

Outside of that, which is more of preference than a legitimate grievance I have to say the Element Case Vapor Pro Elite is the best case for the iPhone 4s that I’ve had the opportunity to review.  I give it 5 out of 5 stars.  I am also nominating it for an award, stay tuned we will be announcing in late September.

Portable induction burner expands the stovetop

July 28, 2012 | Cellular Devices, Featured Articles, Reviews | Comments Off

Kitchen countertops not only have a way of becoming overcrowded quite quickly, but they also lack the capability to expand outside of their boundaries. Not so with the stovetop. When those four burners become filled up with boiling water and busy fry pans, there is another option. Although nowadays,...

Casio Lady-G LWA-M140-7ACF Watch Review

July 28, 2012 | Cellular Devices, Featured Articles, Reviews | Comments Off

A review today of a women's watch from Casio's Baby-G series that does it all. The LWA-M140-7ACF is quite the powerhouse, packed into a casually-styled look that belies its inner geek: •Tough solar power (the dial is a solar panel). •5-band atomic timekeeping (US, UK, Japan, Germany). •Water ...

Casio G'zOne Ravine Cell Phone Review

July 28, 2012 | Cellular Devices, Featured Articles, Reviews | Comments Off

Casio continues to expand its rugged phone line with the G'zOne Ravine, a follow-up to other Casio handsets like the G'zOne Brigade and the G'zOne Rock. Like them, the Ravine is resistant to dust, water, shock, and a variety of environmental hazards. Casio is billing it as a phone for the outdoor...
