Tinke from Zensorium Review

by The Review CrewJune 9, 2013

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen I hear the word tinke I immediately think of Peter Pan.  tinke is not a Peter Pan subject though it is a small square-ish box with two sensors on it.  It plugs into your iPhone and it tells you all kinds of good stuff about your health.  On the box it says clearly that it is not a medical device, and shouldn’t be used as such.  However, like most over the counter vitamins it then goes into detail on their website about how this amazing technology can tell you your O2 level, heart rate, respiratory rate, and heart rate variability.

It says it monitors your wellness and fitness, of course none of these statements have been or will be verified.  It’s a neat piece of technology and seems to be pretty accurate.  I think it is likely a nice piece of hardware to give you a good idea of what is going on at any given time.  The app that goes with the hardware will log you into their site (you have a choice you can use it as a guest as well) if you decide to sign up for a free account and it will store your readings so you can see them over time.

I like the app, I like the idea, and I like the name.  It’s a really neat gift idea for the 2013 Father’s Day Gift List for anyone that is into their health, or perhaps trying to be.  I’ll give it 4 out of 5 stars it’s a great idea, well executed, the app looks really nice and functions pretty well (save a hiccup with registering that we had).

What's your reaction?
