Aleratec 1:16 USB 3.0 Copy Cruiser Mini Review

by August 13, 2014
Overview
Build Quality

The Build Quality is solid, nothing feels cheap or shortcut. It's got a heft to it that makes you feel like it is a solid unit.

Price Point

We feel this is an excellent $350 item. So at $500 we think it's a bit high. That said it is retail, there are likely deals to be had if you look.

Bottom Line

If you need to duplicate lots of images for your IT guys in a Microsoft environment The Aleratec 1:16 USB 3.0 Copy Cruiser Mini is a real find. Testing showed that it is incredibly fast, and it seems pretty durable. The price point is pretty high in our opinion but not over the top. You can find better deals on eBay for the Aleratec 1:10 USB Mini Cruiser rather than buying the 1:16 version (you can get 2 1:10's for slightly more than ONE of the 1:16's)

The 1-16-usb-3-0-copy-cruiser-mini-5Aleratec USB Copy Cruiser Mini is a great little USB Copier and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with it over all.  It is a little pricey but not out touch, especially considering it seems to be targeting the Microsoft enterprise community.  Any small business that wants to give out product demo videos of their line along with buying info would benefit a lot from having one of these as well.  2 GB memory sticks are about a buck now and the ability to put a complete product presentation together on a USB stick and hand it to a client, or potential client is huge.   Being able to make 16 of these demos at one time is a no brainer.  Saves time, saves money.

There are loads of people and small business that could make use of the Aleratec 1:16 USB 3.0 Copy Cruiser Mini from Real Estate agents to Law Firms.  Hard copy is so yesterday and as people get more and more technologically proficient so will their desire to use and reuse memory sticks to transfer data to and from others.

All in all I have to say The Aleratec 1:16 USB 3.0 Copy Cruiser Mini is a good device, priced a bit high but I think it will more than pay for itself.
