Driving the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Truck was like driving the beautiful love child of a Cadillac and a Silverado. It’s beautifully appointed interior is matched only by the striking chrome trimmed exterior. The ride was ultra smooth, it is a 4 wheel drive ultra truck that handles like a Cadillac. The sound system was absolutely insane. bass notes and guitar reverb were rich and detailed with a satisfying low end thump. The high frequencies were reproduced with a clarity I am not accustomed to in a stock car audio install. There wasn’t a trace of coloration. The midrange had a warm, natural, transparent sound that was silky smooth and comforting to the soul. While I’m not a huge fan of Bose, I have to say I was blown away by the in-car performance and I wouldn’t blink an eye to pay extra for them in a vehicle that I was buying new after that experience.
The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Truck we reviewed had a Total Vehicle Price of $57,790.00 including the options and destination charge. The reported fuel economy was 18 MPG (combined) which broke down to 16 in town and 22 on the highway, which is consistent with mileage I get on my personal Silverado truck.

The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Truck we drove came equipped with the 5.3L V8 ECOTEC3 engine and a Automatic 6 SPD transmission. It had a LOT of get up and go! It seemed like it had ever conceivable bell and whistle to boot, including heated seats that also cooled your fanny as well. That’s right… it’s a hot summer day… let’s cool the seats down. It was surreal. Not because of the luxury, but because it was offered in a truck. To be honest it was kind of depressing getting back into my old 2005 Silverado and driving home 🙂
Check out the video I took of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Truck above. I really enjoyed testing this truck out, I have to admit I obviously like the Chevy Silverado (I own one) but this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Truck really takes the cake. I’ll gladly give it 5 out of 5 stars and say that it was the best in-truck experience I’ve had in a long time.
