Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set Review

2016 Cuisinart 14 Piece Chef's Classic Non-Stick Hard Anodized Cookware Set Review
The price point. Yes I’m starting with the price point.  This is Cuisinart a very well known and respected brand.  They have been around a long time and make quality kitchenware. This 14 piece Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set is $199 almost everywhere with free shipping.

If you were to go to Walmart and get a complete garbage set of cookware you would be looking at $20-$30 per pan/lid combination.  So this set competes with garbage cookware at Walmart on a price point level. That is the only place that the Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set competes with garbage cookware.

The Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set is as quality product. It is heavy, durable, non-porous and holds up against abuse.  The pans themselves are constructed from Quantanium (it sounds like Unobtainium from 2003 film the Core, see vid clip). Quantanium is a titanium internally reinforced nonstick coating specifically designed for houseware products.  It is not however designed for high heat applications as it Quantanium for Cookware contains PTFE (just like every other quality non-stick pans, and that means  yes if you use non-stick pans you shouldn’t be using high heat.) So low and slow to medium heat is what you should be using.  That said the spray version of Quantanium used in most Bakeware products does not contain PTFE/PFOA but silicone so it is safe for high heat applications. The Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set have an aluminum layer in the middle to give a very even heating.

The Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set has quality tempered glass lids that fit well with lid handles that are big enough for large men to grab without a problem. It includes a 1 1/2 quart sauce pan with lid, a 3 quart saucepan with lid, 4qt saute pan with helper handle and lid, an 8″ skillet, a 10″ skillet with lid, a 9qt stockpot with lid and a 8 qt pasta insert. It also has a universal steamer insert with a lid that is very handy.

The big deal on this is because it has a good name like Cuisinart and they stand by their products… for $199 you get the 14 piece Cuisinart Anodized Cookware Set and a lifetime warranty.  That should seal the deal.  I give this set a solid 4 out of 5 stars.  It makes an excellent housewarming gift for young newly weds getting their first place, people on a budget who want a quality product, or anyone looking for a nice pot and pan set.  Cuisinart sells a lot of other anodized pieces that go with this set on their site so you can round it out with roasting pans, larger frying pans, griddles, and various other choices.
