Racing Beat Front and Lower Control Arm Support - Mazda Restoration Project
Another improvement to our 1991 Miata. Many think that the Miata has too much flex in the frame. One of the items that many Miata owners add to thier Miata is support to add regidity to the body. We choose to support both the front and rear of our Miata. We selected the solution from Racing Beat. We installed the Racing Beat Lower Front Control Arm Support and a the Racing Beat Low Rear Control Arm Support to our Miata.
Again the install here was painless. The rear control arm brace is simple to install. Again spray your bolts with PBBlaster, I like this better than WD40 but WD40 will work. Now you will have to remove your muffler because the exhaust system goes through this support. Replace the 2 botls and reinstall the muffler. I think this took us maybe 1 hour, taking our time. The front support is even easier. We simply follow the directions. The support comes with everything you need to install, support plates, screws and allen wrenches. Again this install took us about 1 hour. You can check out the picturs on the image gallery.
Taking the Miata down the road and drivng around the curves at high speeds you can feel that the car seems tighter. Ceck out this inexpensive support system for your Miata at Racing Beat's website.
