Have you ever gone so fast around a corner that the oil in your engine gets swished so far into the corner you do damage to your car? Chances are if you don't have something like the new 2008 Chevrolet Z06 Corvette you won't have that problem, but if you do... they have a Dry-Sump Oil System that uses a small oil reserve to pump oil through your engine to prevent this very thing. Chevrolet really knows how to design a world class sports car.

The Chevrolet Corvette is the best American Sports Car on the market.  That statement has been true since its public unveiling in the 1953 New York Auto Show.  Back then it was called the Motorama Corvette and it was an instant hit. Yes, if it wasn't for Harvey Earl, Robert McLean and Ed Cole we wouldn't have today's 2008 Corvette Z06, and if it wasn't for Myron Scott (founder of the american Soap Box Derby) it wouldn't be called the Corvette either.

GM sent over the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for us to play with.  With 505 Horses under the hood this Corvette is quite a bit faster than the original 150 horse version... and just as beautiful. Zero to Sixty in 3.7 Seconds.  I'll tell you it feels more like 3 seconds, and a few gears later you'll be doing 150 with plenty left over if you need to break the speed of sound.  The Corvette is part of the American dream and she delivers everything she promises when you are out on the road.

When I was 4 years old my father had a Yellow 1975 L82 Corvette Convertible, I used to tell him he was Batman and I was Robin.  33 Years later, I'm sitting in this 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06... I decided to take my 16 yr old son for a ride, after we were through we stopped off at Culvers to get an ice cream.  He informed me that the only thing that could make this Corvette better is a grappling hook, machine guns, winged doors, and a giant Batman logo on the hood...  That had to be the strangest feeling of déjà vu I've ever had.

Memories, dreams, fantasy... The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 satisfies all of this and more. 3 out of 3 stars for the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - It's really a class act.
