The Stamina AeroPilates Pro XP 556 Home Pilates Reformer looks like a medival torture rack. The one where they strapped you to each side and then pulled you until you resembled laffy taffy, you know the one.

This unit has one of the most durable constructions of any fitness machine we’ve ever seen. A heavy-steel frame and oak-finished wood construction give it a look of torture, but I guess some people are just into that kind of thing. While they say it’s sized to fit your home, we’re really not sure where. The XP 556 has footrests that adjust to three positions, and the rails are five inches longer than standard reformers, for taller users. The wheels on this unit are all commerical grade and as such provide you with the smoothest carriage glide available.

The XP 556 reformer is elevated about 15 inches to allow for more advanced exercies and a larger, better range of motion. Four heavy-duty, elastic cords provide you with 4 differing levels of workout resistance. This machine performs over 100 exercises to tone and shape your entire body. Also, included with this reformer are the AeroPilates Level 1 Workout DVD, AeroPilates 20 Minute Cardio Workout DVD, and AeroPilates full-color workout wall chart.

The Stamina AeroPilates Pro XP 556 still looks like a torture device to us, but provides you with an excellent work out that you’ll feel for days after. A great way to get in shape, and atleast the torture rack look isn’t one mirrored in other bland fitness machines.
