2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of who are at least 18 years old, have an active Reviewboard paid membership at the $5 monthly or $25 annual tier, maintain a valid verified email address, and affirmatively accept this rules version in the Reviewboard app. Membership and eligibility must remain active and verifiable through the drawing. Employees, contractors, household members, and other persons the Sponsor identifies as having a conflict may be excluded where stated by applicable law or an accompanying published addendum. Void where prohibited.
3. How to enter
During an active entry period, an eligible member must enroll in the Scan Challenge in the Android app by checking the consent box and submitting acceptance of the current rules. Each successfully identified, eligible product scan recorded after enrollment creates one entry for that period. Automated, fabricated, duplicated, manipulated, or otherwise abusive activity may be rejected. A scan, account registration, or membership does not guarantee a prize.
4. Excluded scans and prize limit
Vehicle scans are excluded. Products with an actual or estimated retail value above $500 are excluded. Products with missing or uncertain value may be held for manual verification and cannot be published as a winning item unless the Sponsor confirms a retail value of $500 or less. Illegal, regulated, recalled, unsafe, unavailable, age-restricted, hazardous, counterfeit, or impractical-to-fulfill items may be rejected or replaced with a lawful item or substitute of equal or lower stated value where permitted.
5. Drawings and odds
The Sponsor intends to conduct one random drawing monthly from eligible entries in the applicable closed period. The selection process uses a recorded random seed and an immutable entry identifier so the result can be audited. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received. A selected entry is only a candidate until the Sponsor verifies membership, email, consent, scan validity, item eligibility, and compliance with these rules.
6. Notification and 48-hour claim period
After administrative review, the Sponsor may publish the privacy-safe Reviewboard account handle, item, publication date, and pending status, and send a notification to the verified account email. The selected entrant must use the one-time secure claim link and provide a valid shipping address within 48 hours after publication. Failure to respond in time, an undeliverable email, invalid address, ineligibility, rule violation, or inability to verify the entry may result in “Unclaimed / Void.” The Sponsor may select an alternate where permitted by the published rules.
7. Prize and fulfillment
The prize is the eligible scanned item identified and approved by the Sponsor, or a lawful substitute selected by the Sponsor, with a maximum retail value of $500. No cash substitution or transfer is permitted except at the Sponsor’s discretion where lawful. The winner is responsible for taxes and expenses not expressly included. Fulfillment timing depends on availability, shipping restrictions, and verification.
8. Decisions, integrity, and cancellation
To the extent permitted by law, the Sponsor’s good-faith decisions concerning administration, eligibility, interpretation, fraud prevention, item verification, selection, and fulfillment are final and binding. The Sponsor may suspend, modify, cancel, retract, or terminate a selection or the promotion when fraud, abuse, technical failure, security problems, force majeure, legal requirements, safety concerns, unavailable inventory, or other circumstances compromise lawful or fair administration. Nothing in these rules authorizes arbitrary conduct prohibited by applicable law.
9. Release and limitation of liability
By enrolling, entrants agree to these rules and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and agents from claims arising from participation, technical failures, acceptance, possession, use, misuse, delivery, or inability to use a prize, except for liability that cannot legally be waived. Entrants are responsible for safe and lawful use of any prize. Product manufacturers, retailers, Google, Google Play, and platform providers are not sponsors of this promotion unless expressly identified in a written addendum.
10. Publicity and privacy
By enrolling, entrants authorize publication of a generated Reviewboard handle, the eligible scanned item, date, and claim status. Email addresses, legal names, and shipping addresses are not published. Shipping data is collected only for claim verification and fulfillment, is encrypted at rest, is restricted to authenticated administrative access, and remains subject to the Reviewboard Privacy Policy and applicable law. Any broader publicity use requires separate permission where required.
11. Disputes and severability
These rules are governed by applicable law and any mandatory consumer protections in the entrant’s jurisdiction. Any clause found unenforceable will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary without invalidating the remaining rules. Entrants retain rights that cannot legally be waived. The Sponsor should publish any jurisdiction-specific dispute, registration, bonding, or filing terms required before activation.
12. Acceptance
Checking the enrollment box and submitting acceptance in the app records the entrant’s account, rules version, and acceptance time. An entrant may withdraw from future drawings, but withdrawal does not revive an expired or void selection. Continued scanning without current acceptance does not create entries.
